Anna found these pictures of me from the race last weekend. As you can see, I ran in my Vibrams. That worked well. Of course, I've been running in them for a while. In one of the pictures, I look like a rock star; in the other, I look really tired. But in both of them, I look like I'm floating. So that's pretty cool!
Speaking of the race, I happen to work with 6 or 7 people at my current job that I also worked with at my last job. Over time, we've all come over--we didn't all come at the same time. And I've worked at my current job for almost 3 years. So, that's the back story. Today, my friend Rob told me about a coworker at our previous job, Ali, who asked him this week if I had lost a lot of weight. He said, "Yeah, he's lost about a person!" The reason this all came up? Apparently, after the race, Ali heard my voice, looked back, and decided that the person who was talking couldn't have been the BJ she used to work with. And she never said hi. In a weird way, this is a huge freakin' compliment. Have you experienced that yet? Are you looking forward to people not even being able to recognize you?

Floating Beej! You do look like you are hovering nicely right above the ground. I'm not surprised people don't recognize you -- you are definitely a whole new you, from what I've seen.
Awesome pics, looks like you had a great time! I love that you run in your vibrams -- what does it feel like? Does it ever hurt? Do you have to be careful not to plant your heel down first? I want to know every detail because I'm trying to decide whether to buy my own.
By the way, thanks for checking out my cuba pics -- always fun to get reactions.

I have experienced that, and I think it is awesome!
BTW, I think you look like a rock star in both pics!
I want some vibrams.

@Ish, I think I'll have to post a review on the Vibrams next week, huh?
@Steve, Thanks for the compliment! If you get the opportunity, you should get a pair. They're a little spendy, but they're seriously almost all I've worn for about 7 months.
@Kim, Thanks for the compliment, too!

Yes, I second the request for a review of the Vibrams! I have trouble with shin splints...I wonder how that would factor.
Love the pics of you running! er...floating!

Congrats on the race! I'm not at the point where people don't recognize me, but people who normally would never mention weight are now commenting on my loss, which is a nice motivator!
