Perfect 10: Final Week & Weekend Warrior Challenge

I'd like to first of all say thanks to RMAX International for sponsoring this challenge, and for Steve for not only creating the Perfect 10, but also for hosting it and holding us accountable to it--even though he went through a great personal tragedy.

- Walk 12 miles a week (done)
- Do front (2x60) and side (1x30/side) planks 3 days a week. (done)
- Keep on our budget. (done)
- Hit and exceed my initial weight loss goal--and start a new one. (done)
- Read 4 books (done)
- Only use my horn for avoiding traffic collisions. (done)
- Cook dinner at home 4 times a week (done)
- Go on 3 hikes (missed--only went on one)

Interesting Tidbit: Friday the 13th is a lucky day for me and our family. My parents were married on the 13th. They bought their first house on the 13th. My oldest brother was born early on the morning of the 14th. And, to top it all off? My twin brother and I were born on Friday the 13th! That's lucky for me, I'd say! So yeah, I'm not too supersticious.

Weekend Warrior Challenge Goals:

  1. Create a healthy recipe for Beef Jerky. Is this cheating?
  2. Run in the St. Patrick's Day Dash. And complete it in under 40:00.
  3. Limit myself to 2,400 Calories on Saturday & Sunday. I sucked this up last week, so I'd like to make sure I succeed this weekend.

You are welcome Beej - I love the impact this challenge has had. It was a true success by all measures.

Congratulations to you too! I think you have done outstanding. Even with missing one of the goals, you really smoked this thing overall. Good work!

Hey Beej, great job on the challenge. I notice you get a LOT done in a week. Do you watch tv at all? I'm thinking I need to cut it way down, or out entirely if poss. Despite our best efforts, we always seem to end the night lumped on the sofa watching the tube.

I am a fan of the number 13. My son was born on the 13th too.
