restricted diet

Okay. So here's the thing. I sucked last night. Literally. I woke up at about midnight super hungry. And I went down and inhaled a piece of sprouted grain bread with sweet-hot mustard, chicken breast and pepper jack cheese on it. Like, I ate it in about 3 bites. Gross. While it wasn't as bad as what I used to binge on (things like Cheddar Lit’l Smokies®, RUFFLES® Cheddar & Sour Cream Flavored Potato Chips, or CHEETOS® Crunchy Cheese Flavored Snacks), but it was 400 Calories. "But it was healthy!" There's nothing healthy about mindless eating--no matter the ingredients. I need more control. I do such a great job during the day, but I tend to allow myself too many indulgences during the evening. So, taking a page from lots of people, but especially Brandon, I'll be refraining from eating after 8 pm at least Sunday-Thursday. How's that sound? So, if you see a TwEAT from me after 8 pm PST or before 6 am PST, ream me, okay? I guess, at least for the time being, this is me:


And, on a little side note. I know that both Steve and Rick have been enjoying Ground Flaxseed for a long time, but I just got some from Costco, and LOVE it! I had some on my cereal for dinner and some more on my Ice Cream. Oh, wow, it's delicious. I can really see why people like it. (BTW, I bet the link will make you laugh!)

Beej, I am going to join you on this. No eating after 8:00 PM. I have blown it on this so many times lately.

BTW, I am out of flax seed right now. You have reminded me it is time to get some more. :-)

I agree as well. I try not to eat late at night either, especially carbs. I did here though that eating protein and vegetable really isn't an issue that late at night. I know it's not as appetizing, but if your hungry try something like that.
I have never tried the ground flaxseed, but use the oil in my protein shakes I make. It is good, just like you said.

Great job on your workouts this week Beej. Good luck with your cut off time. I did a month long challenge in Feb over at Celebrate Weight Loss where you picked your own cut off time. It was really helpful to me and I am eating less at night now.

I LOVE the pic of the Gremlin!!! LOL...if only we had some reaction to the late night foods it'd make them so easy to avoid huh? :)
