Okay, maybe not a monster, but still. I've been doing this treadmill thing for a number of weeks now, and I've been slowly increasing from 10 minutes to 20 minutes now. And now I'm up to a total of 12 minutes at 6.1 mph and 2.0%; 3 minutes at 4.4 mph and 2.0%; and 5 minutes at 4.4 mph and 4.0%. That all equates to an "estimated" Calorie burn of 400.4! In 20 minutes. That's an average of 20 Calories burned in a minute. Add that to the 265 Calories I burn in 10 Minutes on the stairmaster, and the 350 Calories I burn in 20 minutes, you get just over 1,000 Calories a workout. Of course, now that I'm burning 400 Calories on the treadmill, I want to build up my stairmaster burn to 300 calories and my elliptical up to 400 Calories. That would be great!

Beej, you may not be a monster, but you are doing great!
By the way, how are you doing your charts?

Hey Steve, thanks for the comment.
I'm sure there's an easier way to do the charts, but right now, I'm just making them in Excel, then doing an impage capture of each one and saving them as pictures. Then I can add them as widgets. Anyone else do them? Tyler over at 344pounds.com has a chart I want to look at.

Wow, that IS a great workout. Are you running at 6.1 mph? because 3.2 mph is about the fastest I can go without feeling like I have to run. Of course, I have short legs, so maybe that has something to do with it as well. Keep it up man!!!

Impressive!!! I need to get my exercise groove going, but I still feel so heavy.
Thanks for the recent comments on my blog. I found this part especially amusing..."Whatever caused you to reach out (I'm sure you know how I think that happened)."
I loved your plug for God there. In case you are wondering, I am not a Christian but two of my most precious friends are.
Love the new blog layout too.
I am excited thinking about your next weigh in...you are doing such a great job!
Hugs from leafless Canada.

Hey Beej,
Nice calorie burns! Are you gauging them from the machine readouts or do you use a bodybugg or similar machine that measures your body's output?
Thanks,
Ish

I'm with Steve - the charts are a nice touch...and the workout is killer I 'm no runner, at least not yet ;)

Hey Josie, I wouldn't exactly call it running, but definitely jogging! And, yeah, my legs are probably longer! :)
Kimberley, I'm glad I could make you chuckle!
And Ish, I'd love to have a bodybugg, but it's not in the budget. I'm just using the highly innacurate machine. But I guess as long as I gauge them against each other, right?
And Natalie, I'm sure you'll be a runner in no time--once you get that detox out of the way!!

You're an animal! Just amazing. Intervals are the way to go.
