I was reading an awesome post over at Seattle Running Girl, and I thought it would be fun to post my favorite quote. And I think it can help all kinds of people get through struggles:
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes. ”
~ Charles Swindoll
What do you think? Do you have a personal quote? One that's gotten you through how ever far you've come through your journey?
Oh, and sorry, but as a little aside, I think that new iPhone4 commercial highlighting FaceTime with the guy who's finding out from his wife/girlfried that they're having a baby is a really lame commerical!
Tuesday:
30 minutes on exercise bike
15 minutes on elliptical
50 situps
50 push ups
6 miles biked
prayed
read the bible
read my devotion
Calorie Counts:
Sunday: ?,??? Calories
Monday: ?,??? Calories
Tuesday: ?,??? Calories
Okay, this not counting Calories for the full day sure has to stop...ugh! (But my scale has been going the right way...)

I haven't seen the iPhone commercial, so I can't weigh in on that.
The quote - it is a great one. I have some things I say periodically(quoting others of course), but nothing I would consider a great quote.

Hey, Beej,
Thanks for sharing that quote in your comment on my post. I LOVE that quote and wholeheartedly agree that our attitude (which is fully within our control) dictates so much about our life, and how we live it.
Nice job keeping the scale going in the right direction! Are you totally tied to counting calories, or might it just be that you are listening to your body and choosing healthy things without the benefit of tracking these days?

Thanks for sharing your quote. Here is one I like.
"Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained."
