Week 79 (10.10)

Weight: 221.6

Weekly Weight gain: 2.2
Total weight lost: 146.8
Average Weekly Loss: 1.86

Yup.  There was the gain.  The gain brought on by the excesses of both of the last weekends.  I'm not too worried.  Seriously.  I'm not upset, I'm not beating myself up.  I'm actually pleased.  But wait.  Let me tell you why.  My twin brother got married.  And I had fun.  It was probably the first day during this journey that I had two beers in a day.  They were tasty.  Now, granted, I didn't finish either beer.  But I still had 2 beers.  I didn't indulge, but I also didn't allow myself to get bogged down by "I can't eat this" or "I can't eat that".  I'd say that's a win.

But it's still a gain.  One I have to work off now.

Hi Beej! I'm Millie from the Hot 100, and I'm a Christian too trying to eat to God's glory.

What tremendous progress you've made! It's so exciting to read others' blogs and see such success.

Yeah, the "I can't eat this" line can lead to a lot of discontent. Sounds like you handled it well.

Go Hottie!

Beej, I agree, allowing yourself to enjoy the wedding, taste the beer (and not feeling you have to finish it) that's such a big win for the exchange of gaining a bit. Living in fear of everything you put into your mouth is no way to live either.

You'll quickly put the trend into the right direction again. God bless!

Sounds like you are developing a healthy relationship with food. Good going.

It sounds like you did okay, took a pretty balanced approach to it, and I'm sure the 2 pounds will be gone in no-time.

Eating (or in this case, drinking) without guilt is, in my opinion, a greater progress than a loss this week would have been! Proud of you beej and glad you had fun!

Beej, you'll work that off in no time. It's probably gone already! Tell us more about the wedding. Was there a band, did you dance the funky chicken? Who caught the bridal bouquet? Were you nervous for your brother (was he nervous)? I love to hear about fun weddings, so please, fill a girl in on all the bridal festivities!

I too need to do the daily devotions, need to read the bible and pray more. I'm trying but not nearly as hard as I should be.
I have been reading and enjoying and you are so good to read. I love the honesty, the down to earth person I'm reading about.
My friend and I were adding up our miles for the past couple of months and we've logged in about 70. We walk 4 times a week and tomorrow is our big challenge, we're walking from my house to hers and back, miles and I want to do it in 90 minutes. We'll try.
Keep up the great work. I'm off to see who else I can check on and learn from.
Take care and have a blessed day.
