Bikram Tuesday

No running today.  But we did make the time to go to another Bikram Yoga session.  Wow, I'm so surprised how much easier it is.  Okay, that's enough yoga talk.

Well, maybe not.  It was the yoga session that almost never was.  We both get off work at 4pm and the session we try to go to starts at 4:30.  It's usually really close timing.  But to could have been worse: I had a meeting at work from 3:00-4:00.  And our President and CEO were there.  And they are there, we never start on time.  And I was very worried.  And, true to form, we started at 3:15--no chance for a Bikram yoga session.  Which would have been true if we went for the whole hour.  But we didn't have to go the whole hour!  It ended upi being 45 minutes, and Anna and I were able to catch the session.  To be honest, it didn't even feel like 90 minutes.  Still not "love" yet, though.

Tomorrow, we have a huge client coming to visit us. And I get to be on the team that is showing our capabilities.  (Of course, the presentation team is like 35 people!)  But We'll be going to an after event...at a winery.  And one of my goals is to drink nothing but water until Sunday.  Could be tough.  But at least I hear the visitors are conservative...so maybe they'll respect my goal?

Hopefully they'll respect your goals but hey, you could always volunteer to be the designated driver or something? Or just invent some crazy story about how you're allergic to alcohol....they won't know, right?

I've really looked into Bikram, but I want to read some reviews about the particular studio I've found before going. I've heard some are better than others. Truth to that?

I agree with Jess offer to drive. Honestly most people will not even notice if you don't drink and if they ask tell them you try to limit alcohol consumption to weekends, anyone who can't respect that has a problem.... And choose allergic to sulfites it's more believable as many people are allergic and its in all non organic wine....

I have toyed with trying Bikram but basically I'm a wimp :P My sister and my WeightWatcher buddy both swear by it though. Jess lots of studios have deals for a free lesson or 2 or a discounted series might be a good way to check out a couple of studios.

:) Thanks guys, but it's a little more interesting than that. First, my cmpany LOVES to drink. Every event we have has a preponderance of alcohol! And I used to take part. A lot.

The also take keys and hand out free cab vouchers, so it's hard to use the DD route. But it is SUPER cool that they watch out for their employees (and the public) by keepign people off the road.

Add to that the fact that it'll be a wine tasting event and you can see the touble. But. But. But I'm sure they'll understand. It's a cool witness to my goals.

Plus I can always use the whole. "I'm trying to lose weight" excuse!

Yay for the yoga.

I don't quite feel convinced you only want to drink water until Sunday...good luck at the winery!
