Laziness and weekend warrior update

So yeah, this weekend was pretty chill. We did some shopping, I did some work around the house, and Anna and I had some fun together. I'm not sure I made the best choices, but what's done is done, right? As you can see below, I'm increasing my workout times so that I can hit my hour on each machine in the 4 days I'll be at work. And since I haven't moved enough this week (or at all), I'll be doing 4-5 miles the next three nights. It'll be crazy, but I need to do it. Not to reach some number, but to head into my trip on a good trajectory. I'll be enjoying myself in Italy, but I won't go over board. And I'll be walking a lot. Maybe not running--though we'll have to see what I do. I'll be keeping up with my sit ups and push ups, and I might try to get some resistance bands for teh trip (anything to keep this going). I'll also bring my measuring tape and food journal, but no scale. And that's scary.

Oh, and I just borrowed a great new piece of workout equipment from my dad that I'll start using for strength training tomorrow. I'll describe it and post pics tomorrow--though it's a little unconventional!

Weekend Warrior Challenge Goals:

  • Make 2 different flavored salts for gift baskets to donate for our company's annual charity fundraiser. (done! Cilantro Lime Salt & Wasabi Soy Salt)
  • Run/walk 6 miles. (FAIL. No walking. Oops!)
  • Make good choices with my food this weekend, but enjoy myself at the buffet on saturday (within reason). (Not sure if I did this fully, but I did have fun!)

Up to Monday:
15 minutes on elliptical
15 minutes on stair stepper
15 minutes on exercise bike
150 situps
75 push ups
prayed daily
read the bible daily

Weekly Calorie Count:
Saturday: 3,075 Calories
Sunday: 2,215 Calories
Monday: 1,980 Calories
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
Thursday:
Friday:

Daily Average: 2,423 Calories.

Still twEATing here.

Sometimes chill weekends are the best. Oh heck, most of the time they are the best...:-) It sounds like you have a good plan for the week. I have never been to Italy and hope to go someday. I will be in Hawaii next week and plan to do tons of swimming...:-) Here's to a good week!

I am a bit envious and jealous of you man. All in a good way though. :-) Did I hear you say that you were going to Italy. man, that is my dream vacation spot that I have always wanted to go to. I promised myself though that once I was at my target and healthy weight , that that trip would be my reward.
We all need some chill time and I don't think you did as bad as you think. We are always harder on ourselves then we need to be. Again, at least I am. Your running is coming along real well and I am not sure if I'll be able to keep up with you once you come to Vegas. I do have some time to prepare though. :-) I feel that you are doing great and I learned something new too. I didn't realize you made your own flavored salts. Tell More about it. Now have a great week and keep doing the great job you are. You are one motivated guy!

@Kat- Man, I hope you have fun in Hawaii! But be good, right? :)

@Rob- I love it when you stop by! I'll have to give you a full report once I get back. I'm super excited, as it's my first REAL trip. I'll have to post some pictures of my salts (and other things) for you...

Don't go overboard and kill yourself before your trip, you want to enjoy it right? How long are you going for? Even with all the good things to eat in Europe I always lose weight because I walk sooooo much. My pedometer had me at over 20k steps most days last time I was in England.

You had a chill weekend and I had slacker Sunday...LOL!

I am excited about your trip and can't wait for the pics.

If you are sure about the MP3 player I would love to be the new owner when your dad is done with it. We can figure out the logistics when you get back.

I would also love to see pics of the flavoured salts and your new piece of workout equipment.

@Alison- yeah, that's a good call! I think I'm not going to push myself too much, but I'm also not going to relax either...you know?

@Em- It's just a fail because I didn't do what I wanted to do on my weekend. I was lazy. Oops!

@Chad- Thanks man! I'm super excited about the trip. It'll be a ton of fun!

@Kim- guess I'll have to post some pictures of my salt--once it's all done. Not my best work, but it's a new thing... Oh yeah, the mp3 player's all yours!
