Cook-Off

We won!  So, my new team at work had a team-building event at a local cooking school.  There are about 30 people on my team, and they broke us up into 3 teams of 10 and we all cooked 1 entree, 2 sides, and a dessert.  And each team had a secret ingredient: one team had beef skirt steak, another group had pork tenderloin, and the team I was on got salmon.  Each team got paired up with a chef and we were off.  It was an hour and a half of fun, and we won!  We made oven-roasted brussles sprouts, a pasta salad (that I worked on), pan seared citrus salmon, nad a chocolate hazelnut torta with an apricot shipped cream and a blackberry balsamic sauce.  Did I mention it was fun?  Did I mention we won?!  :)

This does sound like a fun time. I bet that was some great food too!

You're doing good on your goals so far this week too. Isn't it hard to believe the end of the year is upon us?
