Another Date Night

So, in addition to having about 15 oysters each (among lots of other seafood) at Elliot's Oyster House on our date on Wednesday, Anna and I were able to try out a new sushi restaraunt on Thursday.  It's called Sushi Maru.  And it sucked wasn't very good.  The sushi was about $0.50 -$1.00 more expensive than our normal place; the fish wasn't cut well, was mushy, and chewy; the rice was hard and cold; and the service was slow and poor.  Yeah, it was a bummer, but at least Anna and I had a long time to hang out!  :)  Another great date.

It looks like the week will wrap up well!  And I'm looking forward to the weekend, relaxing with friends on Friday night and Saturday morning, and then the rest of the weekend will be spending time with Anna.  Yay!

Glad you had a nice date with Anna.

Sometimes when you try new restaurants, you can be disappointed.

When I have a bad experience in a restaurant, I always think of those who would be glad for the sub-par food. Corny maybe, but it helps me to be grateful for even the crappiest meal.

So true, though, Kimberley, so true. It's funny how easy it is to forget that!

beej, glad you enjoyed the date nonetheless. I've learned that what matters most is spending the time with the ones we love, not necessarily what we do or where we go. I think it's awesome that you make it a point to have these "dates" with your wife. My husband and I try to, but really only get to about twice a year. We do spend A LOT of time together as a family though with the kids, but the alone time is so important.

Kimberley, that's a great attitude to have!

I'm not as philosophical as everyone else here -- bad sushi is really bad! Nobody deserves that. Sorry your new place was crappy. Better luck next time.
